Most Helpful Positive Review great quality, nice optic
I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of this optic. I think it is wide, bright and well-built. I like the "auto off" feature to save battery life, but find turning it off manually to very easy. With the auto off feature, it awakens or turns on once it senses motion. It is good looking. More compact than my similar optic on another rifle and I love the blacked out look. It has the lettering, but it is subtle. It is a keeper.

Internal reflections

by AndyBill, from GA, United States Written on July 23, 2018
I like the size and design of this Leupold red dot sight, but ultimately it’s how well the device functions that matters. In that respect I am disappointed. The Leopold LCO has 16 intensity settings accessible through a rotary dial. Beginning at the number eight setting internal reflections from the LED emitter begin to appear on the screen. By setting number 10 or 11 a fully formed extraneous red square appears around the red dot approximately halfway between the center and the perimeter of the view screen. Even my $40 NCStar red dot sight performs better than this. I’ve been a life long Leopold customer, but this red dot sight is so bad I’ve taken it off my rifle and put it back in the box. When I call Leopold about this I hope they have a good explanation.

Great sight! Replaced a MRO

by Recoil Outfitters, from TX, United States Written on March 17, 2018
Great sight, the auto on feature on movement is why o switched from the MRO. Grab the rifle and it’s on and ready as soon as it senses movement. Perfect CO witness with Magpul PRO BUIS. Leupold optics have been my go to for long range for years, I don’t know why I strayed for my red dots but I won’t be anymore.

Great so far!

by Harrison, from VA, United States Written on November 10, 2017
The LCO has a great housing and a precise red dot that I’ve found to be a bit more accurate than larger MOA dots (not that it matters too much at CQB distances in my home). Imagine the housing of an EOTech with the red dot of an Ampoint with Aimpoint-like battery life. It’s not a constant on battery life though and the sensor seems to work really well. I’ve never picked up the rifle and not had the red dot on. The optic comes with a integral mount and although it looks a bit clunky on the rifle, it is a nice inclusion. Depending on my cheek weld, i can obtain either a 1/3 or direct cowitness. The adjustments all have a positive click as well as the brightness settings. I don’t think they will adjust on their own either as they are robustly and ruggedly made. I purchased the Blacked Out version and i like that my rifle doesn’t look like a Leupold NASCAR. It’s a great Optic and I’m looking forward to running it through a class.
Pros:
  • battery life
  • Solid build
  • wide field of view
  • Integral mount
  • leupold backing and warranty
  • 1MOA dot
Cons:
  • MotionSensor to save battery so no constant on like aimpoint

Beautiful product

by Shorthairedtornado, from IL, United States Written on July 26, 2017
Very well made product. Easy to install, great for close quarters. The red dot functions well, if you have a stigmatism your experience may be different, but for someone with good eyes the optic works fantastic. Would suggest for anyone looking for a red dot. Quality is what you would expect from leupold, would say this is on par with the aimpoint.
Pros:
  • fov
Cons:
  • weight
Best Used for:
  • CQB and Medium Range
