Leupold Enters with a Bang
This unit is impressive and highly recommended for anyone looking to get their first thermal unit.
Lightweight, compact, and great performance.
600yd detection, 30Hz, 6x digital zoom, and 6 color filters. 10 Hours of use on CR123A battery.
At this price point, this is one of the best units I have put my hands on.
While it is primarily meant for hunters to use in game recovery, the size and weight make it great for taking anywhere.
Lately I use it when walking the dog because the skunk situation in my area has gotten out of control.
The smooth zoom is a nice feature to include but I primarily use the step zoom function.
For Leupold's first thermal optic, this is a home run. Can't wait to see how they expand the line.

GREAT PRODUCT
I just received the LTO Tracker yesterday 12/23/2016, last night at about 2:00am I took it out for a test run.
I was able to spot many Deer without any trouble, this thing is AWESOME, and that is an understatement. I bought it with the intent of using it to spot Coyotes and Foxes while night huntin...

Very nice package but with limitations
WHAT I LIKE:
1. Sleek, light, nice control layout
2. Very sensitive
3. Uses standard CR123 battery not a proprietary battery
4. Gets 10 hr on a single battery
WHAT I DON'T LIKE:
1. This is NOT a monocular. It is a direct view, tiny 1.2" display with no provisions for adjustable focus. A monocu...

Leupold tracker thermal imager
Very impressed with this product for the money. Was torn between the tracker and the flir. The flir was a bigger and had a internal battery you had to charge. The tracker takes a 123 battery and runs for 10 hours. I always have extra batteries on me so I decided I liked that option better. Not having to recharge the flir was a better option for me. Also the flir had a recording video option I just didn't need. The tracker was very good quality for the price.

I like it but...
...it needs a lanyard attachment point like their rangefinders and needs some kind of protective case. Very effective up close - can identify specifics. Will pick up heat sources at longer ranges but not much more than a blob of heat. But that's what you're looking for anyway. Use night vision optics once spotted with thermal

Great gift
I got this for my Dad as a Christmas gift. He is an avid deer hunter and has been a fan of Leupold for as long as I can remember. He has yet to use it in the field due to the timing, but has tinkered with it around the house and neighborhood at night. He says it does do what it is built to do and will certainly show distinctions in people and even a cat. He is eager to get to the woods with it.
Best Used for:
- Hunting and distinguishing things at night

Great for detection!
I bought this along with the armasight vampire night vision rifle scope for my AR15. Which I also would highly recommend, but back to the luepold thermal! It was used to great effectiveness tracking pesky beavers in our private pond.. just scanning the pond and when one surfaced you would definitely know! This was done on a cold moonless night also. The red setting provides the best clarity at night and is the easiest on the eyes for sure. Long battery life and a decent 30 hz frame rate pushes this above the similary priced FLIR TK scout. As far as thermals go this is an excellent entry level device and affordable!
Pros:
- long battery life
- small and compact
Cons:
- Digital zoom
Best Used for:
- Cold nights with the red color setting
Would recommend: Yes

Limited by Imagination
Great piece of kit. Easy to operate, and very ergonomic for it’s intended use. The features of the scope are easily accessible and it’s operation is rudementary. There is little about this scope to interfere with the clean transition from search to shot. I would like to see it mountable on a firearm, in the future. Great kit. It would be even greater if it were integrated with a pistol grip style accessory button configuration for switching through magnification and radiant source modes, while mounted on a firearm. The possibilities for this item are numerous.

Works Amazing at night
It is a great affordable thermal. It works best at night or when it is cloudy. In sunlight it becomes quite difficult to tell whats an animal or a rock. Ultimately it is a great product for the price. Works great to spot coyotes.
Pros:
- Affordable
Cons:
- does not work in sunlight
Best Used for:
- coyote hunting

Leupold LTO tracker
Excellent device, not much detail past 100 yds but for the size it is awesome. Uses CR123 battery as well so easy to change out in the field. The different color patterns are really nice and instantly available to change with one button. When a heat source is spotted I can instantly change color patterns to see if one is better than another.
Pros:
- long battery life, compact
Cons:
- lack of detail at distance
Best Used for:
- scanning while walking
Would recommend: Yes

Leopold thermal imaging monocular
Great little device. It helps save batteries on your NV scope. I can spot a heard of hogs all the way across a field or spot a lonesome coyote for a few 100 yards out. This device has many different color settings. My favorite is the red. You can see moving game through pines with ease and this device even helped me find a nice buck I shot on an evening hunt. I found the start of my blood trail and turned on my Leupold and seen him laying off in the distance!
Pros:
- Great for battery saving on your night vision scope
Cons:
- The clarity starts getting pour once zooming in.
Best Used for:
- Spotting game at night
Would recommend: Yes
