Leupold Mark 4HD 2.5-10x42 Rifle Scope, 30mm Tube, Second Focal Plane
This New mark 4hd sits on a 14.5 urban SPR build. It is accompanied by adult point Pro at the 12 o’clock position. The scope itself is super high-quality, glass is superior and 2nd to none. I was not sure about the prospect of pushbutton illumination, but come to find out that it works really good. The locking elevation dial with zero stop works perfectly and is super simple to set up. If you’re in the market for a lightweight rugged and precise SPR scope this is your buy.

Put it on my 18” ar build and have been very impressed all around with it so far. I think you get a good value for what you’re paying. You’re getting the same glass as the mk5 HDs and similar controls and feel. The scopes with illumination also have a built in level feature you can turn on where the illumination will flash if the scope isn’t level.
Pros:
Lightweight
Fit and finish
Throw lever
Zero Stop System
Glass clarity and light transmission
turret design and feel
Cons:
could use a newer style reticle option with illumination
Illumination controls take a little bit to get used to
Best Used for:
longer range ar builds
100-800 yard shooting
lightweight tactical scope option
Would recommend: Yes

I picked this up to compare it to my nxs 2.5-10 and I it is fine. Glass quality is really good, the reticle is nice, but it is a bit too thick. The fit and finish is great, controls are good, the zero stop is intuitive and in my opinion superior to the NF zero stop. I would prefer a side focus but this is fine. The illumination is bad, I didn’t think it could get worse than the NXS illumination but it is. You have to mash on the side button and it will cycle through the brightness settings which is annoying and half the time the button click doesn’t register. The illumination isn’t even daylight visible, let alone bright, and it is hard to tell when the illumination is fully off. The weight is on par with the eotech 2-10 and the trijicon credo. I would recommend this over the credo, but if you are willing to save for another month or two to snag the mk 5 or the nightforce nxs 2.5-10 I think that you will prefer those. But a really good not great scope that for the 1100 or so it will run you is absolutely worth it.
