Excellent optics
Wonderful scope. Very clear optics, lightweight and compact. If I had any reservations it would be mounts are more limited for the 35mm tube. The optics are good enough to makeup fort hat disadvantage. Glass is wonderful

It is in my opinion that this is the best mid range scope for the money it perfectly matches The AR 10 platform. There are plenty of videos on YouTube if you plan on shooting 100 to 600 yards or further this scope, will suit your needs. I liked it so much I bought two. Over the last five years.

Expensive but worth it
I was looking to purchase a scope that would do all and last me a lifetime. This scope has delivered, I have taking it out to the range and hit targets out to 600 yards with easy due to this scope. I will be taking it hunting this year and can’t wait. The glass on is super clear and radical is nice and clean. I guarantee if you are in the market for a really nice scope this one will fit all your needs.

I call Optic Planet and inquired about the Leupold HD 5 scope. A lady answered all my questions. She was very knowledgeable. Great job!!! I am 69 years old and I am not very computer savvy. So I decided to call. The HD 5 scope is very clear and operates perfectly. I recommend this scope because it has lifetime guarantee and very easy to use!

Amazing scope but elevation is limited on AR
This is my first adjustable, long-range scope. I did tons of research before picking this scope and reticle. The military's selection of it for the DMR helped. It's mounted to a 5.56 AR with 18" barrel using the Leupold Mark AR Mount, Matte Black, 35mm, 177096. I roughly sighted in using the barrel and then a laser. Fine tuned it at the range. Couple of things to note that concerned me at first but seem to be normal. When it arrived, I could not adjust the elevation the full range. It stopped before getting to the third rotation. Support showed me how to take the cap off and fix that. However, I should have left it alone because on a AR, with the mounting height, it was hitting too low at 100 yards. So after adjusting and moving the cap to zero, I ended up right back where I started. This is something Leupold should mention when noting the huge elevation range this has.

Stellar piece of glass!
What a fantastic optic! I mounted this piece on my Bergara B-14 HMR and since have only had the opportunity to reach out to around 600 yards, this optic offers such a fantastic range of magnification and glass clarity all the way through. Very intuitive! It also just has this quality feel to it.

Leupold mk 5hd
Solid scope, good clarity. Overall very happy with this scope. It tracks well, but mainly use the tremor 3 reticle to hold over on targets. Clicks are tactile, the only thing I don’t like is the windage adjustments. The zero is at the 11:00 position and hard to tell if it’s zero’d or not.

I have been wanting this scope for a while. Optics Planet had a great price on it and I decided to go ahead with the purchase. This was my first purchase from Optics Planet and it was fast and easy. My scope came in on time and carefully packaged.

Awesome scope With very clear glass has awesome locking turrets that make it really nice when packing in a scabbard no more messed up turrets. Easy to turn dials and light weight. Great scope to own.

Mark 5 HD scope
I am building a long distance platform in 6.5 Creedmoor. Don’t have the rifle yet but had to get this scope. There are many great optics but I really like Leupold products. So it has not been used or mounted yet. What a hoss of a scope! If you are in the market for a higher end optic you must consider this one. Much larger in person than the photos lead you to believe. I did get the illuminated version and am glad I did. I expect this will be a top performer when it’s time to lace one down the lane. Thanks Leupold!
