Retired law enforcement with over 47 years of firearms experience. I would highly recomend this product for use with an AR type weapon. The scope mounts low as the objective lense is only 40mm. It was very easy to set up. I used a Bobro quick detachable mount. I mounted this scope on a Ruger SR556. The alignment was made with a level. Scope was bore sighted easily and fine adjustment was made quickly. Shooting was a breeze out to two hundred yards. Picture is clear and crisp.
Pros: Light weight, easy to set up, easy to use, crisp focus, mounts low.
Cons: no complaints

Cant beat Leupold products! I mounted this on a RRA flat top AR 20" barrel, have only used it with .223 52 grain bullets. Compensator dial is off for bullet drop which would be expected. Getting ready to load some 55 grain loads, expect to really dial it in then. I have several Leupolds and trust this will perform as well as all of them!
Pros: Warranty, quality & price for a first class optic
Cons: length of scope, wish it came in a 4-18 power

Although inexpensive this scope is well built, has very sharp optics and is well suited for the range of an AR carbine.
Pros: Great value for the price

I decided on the Mark AR after I had a really hard time trying to get a WOTAC. The Leupold was a little more money, but a friend told me all of Leupolds had really clear optics. After taking the scope out to the range, I'm glad I bought it. Compairing it to my WOTAC, WOW what a difference. There are no words to describe how much clearer and crisper it is to look through at high power. I'm planning on replacing my WOTAC on my AR10 SASS with the MARK AR.
Pros: crystal clear sight picture
Cons: non to be found

Mounted on a Rock River AR15. Local range only has 100 yards and the 18 power makes a clear display of a 3" target and I can see the bullet holes. Super sharp optics are worth the price. Have not used the BDC dial since I don't have longer range to shoot.
Pros: Clear optics
Cons: Price

Its a good scope, dials feel and work great. It doesn't feel very solid to me and doesn't come with lens covers. Unless you need the 18x zoom buy the Nikon M-223
Pros: High magnification
Cons: Seems flimsy
