Singularity Hunter's Review of Leupold Mark AR MOD 1 1.5-4x20mm P5 Dial Rifle Scope

The Scope works as advertised. Now I have seen complaints that the cross hairs are too thick. That is incorrect. This scope is not a Target scope, or long range scope. it is in fact made for close quarter combat or hunting animals such as Hogs.
The Cross hairs are not heavy like some cheapo scopes, but rather a medium thickness.
Can you use them to pick off sparrows? No the hairs are a little to thick for that.
How about Deer, Hogs, Rabbits, Fox etc... Of course. The cross hairs are made so you can quickly pick them up, in the brush, swamp, forest etc. After all, you working with 1 to 4 power, you looking at a close quarter scope. You want to find those hairs quickly.
Can you shoot 6 inch plates at 300 meters? Yes, the cross hairs do not cover the target up.
Can you shoot the eraser off the end of a pencil at 25 meters? Get real...No, the hairs are too thick and this scope is not intended for that.
How about the Target for zeroing in at 100 meters? Oh the hairs are some what thick. But you can still do that. This scope is designed for quick pickup of the hairs, getting them on target quickly, not for shooting tiny groups on paper at the range.
The Fire dot works very well.
Pros:
  • The firedot system works very well.
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Ranges under 300 meters
