Leupold Rings PRW, good quality
went with the PRW low rings bc i like my optics as close to the barrel as i can get them. i was able to use these low rings with a 50mm objective on my savage hunting rifle. it has the pencil thin barrel profile and it sits about as close as you can get it. any thicker barrel and it wouldn't fit. i like these bc there not bulky, but the bases seem solid. i'm guessing the bases are made of steel and the actual rings are made of aluminum. the reason i give it 4/5 stars bc when i place the top rings on the scope tube, you have to force them down over the tube, which leave a ever so slight scratch...

Buyer beware
Made of aluminum not steel. Needs to be made of steel not aluminum. I have had too many problems with mounts giving way or moving. This is due to aluminum not being hard enough or strong enough to hold up to the shock of hi power weapons. I would recommend a steel mount instead of an aluminum one.

A bad design
Almost immediately after I started to torque the rear cap, I heard a loud “pop,” which was the front ring breaking where the ring attaches to the base. I thought that I maybe just received a set of defective rings, but when I mentioned what happen to a buddy of mine, he said “The exact same thing happened to me twice! The PRW rings are junk!” After reading all of the positive reviews, I thought they were going to be a good product. I was wrong. Avoid them.

Leupold PRW best 30mm mounts
This is the 2nd set of Leupold PRW 30 mm scope mounts I have used. I have also used several PRM in 1" dia. with great sasses. Optics Planet had the best price and best deliver time. I would highly recommend Leupold PRW scope mounts.

Rock Solid Mounts
Another quality Leupold product. A little expensive, but so was the scope. Note that these are low profile; you may need medium or high PRW rings to meet clearance requirements for a 50mm objective scope on a heavy-barreled weapon.
