Easy way to "snap" rings on tube - Leupold PRW Weaver Style Rings

Leupold recommends using two Allen wrenches to slightly pry open & spread the top portion of the ring before easing it onto the tube. That works perfectly. Even easier, cut a piece out the slippery smooth part of a plastic milk jug. Snap the rings over the plastic onto the tube easily without scratching the tube. Slip the plastic out before tightening down the rings per Leupold's specs. This method doesn't leave any lube between the ring and the tube which could lead to scope movement / losing zero.
