I over tightened the screws and broke them. Well, two of them. 20" lbs I think so be careful. Rings look great on a hunting rifle and a sleek type tactical rifle. They are wide creating more surface area of hold. Leupold puts a lot of effort in there items. Concerned about the screws. I ordered new/better screws to reinstall the rings. Shew....they want me to keep typing. Great rings don't over torque the screws.
Pros:
- Looks great, wide rings more surface area of hold
Cons:
- Screws appear to be a little weak
Best Used for:
- Hunting rifle or sleek tactical

Leupold changed the design a bit which allows one to easily place the top ring cap on the scope body. However, the ring cap screw holes don't quite line up with their corresponding holes in their bases. This results in a tedious procedure to get the screws lined up and started in their holes. Whereas the original PRW's required you to spread the upper ring a bit to get it over the scope body, but the holes lined up perfectly making inserting the screws effortless.
So I searched for the older model and found them priced less than the new model at Optics.
Best Used for:
- Simple, clean scope mounting.

Bought these to mount a 32mm scope in the standard configuration (Not LER Scout Scope). Work perfectly. Lube the rings before snapping over scope tube. It is a tight snap fit as the clamps are over 180 degrees of wrap-around.

I used the 1", low mount (030317541446) with a Sig Sauer Whiskey3 4-12x50 (798681551927) on my Savage B17 FV-SR. It does depend on the shooter's preferences. It did require a second hex key to bend the top bracket around the scope. I would recommend putting a few layers of masking tape on the scope, to help prevent accidental scratches. The accidental scratching is not a con if you are patient, and watch what you are doing. -- If you do not have one, I would recommend getting a Wheeler Fat Torque Wrench Screwdriver (661120535560) to install these.

I have used this model of rings on 6 different rifles and a couple of handguns ranging from very light to heavy recoiling calibers. So far they are the best rings that I’ve found quality/value! They have worked great for me! The way that top ring comes down over the scope tube can be tricky to not scratch your scope body up, I have read reviews to”lube” or “grease” up the rings to help with this...??? I would not recommend that. Just read the simple instructions provided with the set of rings and they slip right on with no problem at all.
Pros:
- Great holding strength. Best rings for the $

Years of using Leupold scopes, rangefinders, and rings has solidified my opinion that you cannot really go wrong with their products. While sometimes more expensive than their competitors, Leupold offerings always do exactly what they advertise and for years to come. I bought these rings for a Trijicon 3-9 AccuPoint scope with a 1" tube. Despite what the packaging and other reviewers stated, I thought I might be able to just slip them on the scope without manipulating the rings. I was wrong. The rings have to be bent slightly outward before they will attach, but once fastened down they will not budge. Some people see this as an inconvenience, but I see it as a design feature. Leupold is thoughtful enough to explain all of this on the insert that comes in the package and even has a diagram just in case you are not certain. They also include the necessary torx key which is quite nice. I should probably also mention that I bought these for a .308 WIN bolt action rifle and that they function perfectly under at least that much recoil.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- durable
- reasonable price
- Excellent Installation Instruction Set
- easy to install
Best Used for:
- hunting
- Target / Competition shooting

Rings look good the bases are very week broke as i tightened them. Other than that all else was sturdy, good heavy rings and bases. Just the base clamp was with what i had the problem, as i tightened them slowly to 22 lbs just gave way.

I ordered a Leopold scope at the same time. It came in quickly. The rings above did not. I sourced some locally. They worked fine on my Mid-West Industries AK mount. The rings I ordered from Optics Planet came in after I was all done. You-all need to speed it up.

I ordered the Leupold PRW, and a set of Burris Zee rings, both in Gloss finish. I ended up returning the PRW rings and ordered another set of Burris rings.
The Burris rings are true polished blue finish. They look great on a gloss scope. The Leupold PRW's are just painted black. Not even close to being a gloss finish that they say they are.

I choose to buy this PRW rings due to have 4 screws and a large contact areas with the scope and with the base. A large contact area with the base will, in my opinion, assure a better grip and avoid movements. So far I have no disappointment with my choice!
