Leupold 49842 - Leupold Quick Release Weaver Style Two-Piece QRW Bases

I have been trying to get mounts to work on a Weatherby Vanguard Series 2. Since no one makes a specific mount for this Weatherby, it is recommended to use the mounts that are made for the Remington 700. While they work, out of the box they sight the rifle 24" high and 10" to the right. Using Burris signature rings with a +20 and -20 insert solved the problem. With lesser rings, shims would need to be used or use up a lot of the internal adjustment of the scope which is not acceptable.
Pros: Typical Leupold Quality fit perfectly and hold tight
Cons: Workable for my application wirh Burris Signature Rings or shims
