I bought the VX-R and I love it it’s super crisp view and with the Reddot it helps a lot in low light conditions for HOGS!!!! I have a couple othe leupold rifleman scopes at home but this one has become my favorite scope very easily

This is a really cool model with everything else that you would expect from Leupold. Good value and strong quality. If you're looking for a red dot scope with some unique features, I doubt you'd be disappointed. Great match on my Marlin 336!

I mounted this scope on a custom 30-30 by Ranger Point Precision. The scope functions as expected from Leopold and is a great choice for the short custom 30-30. The power is a perfect balance for close to as far out as 200 yards the maximum effective range of the 30-30 with the modern LEVERevolution ammo. I love the scope and it would be a great combination for any mid range rifle were you need a multi-power scope that can be effective at multiple ranges. The power on the low end is low enough that I could take a shot inside 10-15Ft. The red dot is adjustable from bright to very low to avoid washing out the clarity of the scope. Just a great all around scope that could be used on many different applications and rifles.

I bought this scope for my 375 H&H magnum. It has performed flawlessly. I used it to take a lion and several other big game animals in Africa. It gave me great comfort to know I could depend upon the Leupold quality.

The scope was purchased after hogs moved onto the hunting lease, along with a Ruger American Predator and Warne mounts, to take advantage of the new Winchester Deer Season ammunition in 6.5 Creedmoor, to allow fast shots at moving pigs, and minimize the risk of wounding a pig. The pigs are almost nocturnal; the red dot extends shooting time, and reduces the risk of poor bullet placement. The 7X power allows medium shots, out to 200 yards, with good clarity.

excellent, clear glass and as expected wonderful scope. Sent to my father and he has over 80 eyeballs and has had cataract surgery as he puts it "he can now enjoy shooting again and the 2 power makes picking up moving objects in the lower field very easy.

I bought the VX-R 2x7 FireDot Reticle based upon a friends recommendation. Optic Planet's price was very good and got a $50 gift certificate to make the price even better. The scope is superior in all ways. Leupold is a top notch company and the FireDot Reticle is the most practical reticle on the market.

Mounts nicely on AR with 1” riser, if you don’t wear glasses you can get away with 3/4” riser. I hunt coyotes and was looking for illumination from scope for that early morning and late afternoon “set”. Couldn’t be happier with the FireDot(can’t beat Leopold warranty)! I always hunt on 6X so magnification wasn’t an issue. Scope is clear lite fast and mount is solid! Smoke a pack(Yotes)a day!�

I put this on my wives AR-15 in .300 bo the firedot reticle is perfect for the situations we get in with this gun! Excellent scope! Great low light and the adjustability of the brightness on the firedot is top notch!

My son talked me into trying the AR platform for hunting from my old reliable bolt gun. I have a nice 556 he built me so I could see his wisdom, so he built me a very sweet Bison Armory 6.8 which I needed a scope for. He has a Leupold VX-R on his 6.8 and I had looked carefully through and at it and was impressed.
I looked at all brands within my budget of $500.00-700.00 bucks for this gun and I also bought the VX-R 2-7 FireDot for simplicity of reticle brightness and adjustment as well as simplicity of the reticle it's self, meaning that other makers dot and or reticle had un-needed info, too large or complicated reticles for my hunting needs.
So basically I just wanted a high quality scope with clear glass, wide field of view, adjustable brightness and size illuminated crosshair dot with plenty of eye relief and guess what, This Leupold VX-R 2-7 was The Ticket.
You just can't beat Leupold for high quality, clear glass and their lifetime warranty and in my case for this gun project, high tech optic illumination simplicity not found elsewhere, I'm very happy with mine.
