Don't waste your money! - Leupold VXR 3-9x50 Matte Rifle Scope

I bought this since I had, and liked, a side-focus Leupold. This 'masterpiece' of American manufacture is made cheaply without a focus option and is "factory set" at 125-feet. Nice of Leupold to know at what range I am shooting at! I get focus even with a $50 Chinese special. After time to mount the scope, time to zero it, and ammunition, I returned home to find an out-of focus piece of something showing inside the scope - never had that with a $50 Chinese special. The only bright spot is that I convinced Leupold to pay for the shipping - otherwise whatever I saved on Optics Planet would have been trashed. By the way, the so-called switch on the side is not particularly easy to use.
Pros: With some effort, the red dot comes on and can be shut off.
Cons: Dirt inside, Lack of focus
