Versatile and Affordable
Grabbed this rangefinder because it is small/compact and was a great price.
I mostly use it when setting up targets/stages. 6yd close read and 1300 max reflective is more than enough for most of my range shooting (and even the handful of times I go hunting).
The TBR system is great when I hit the 600yd range.
I really like the LCD readout, since I use this mostly in bright conditions.
The trophy scale system is pretty useful even just using it on steel targets (verify size/range or differentiate between different size targets)
Another solid product and a great value from Leupold

Great for forestry
This is a great rangefinder. I bought it primarily for measuring trees, so I needed something with an inclinometer. Buried in the TBR modes is a TRIG mode which is perfect for forestry. In addition to giving the actual distance of the shot, it also displays calculated horizontal distance, as well as...

Disappointing
I have used Leupold products for a long time and have loved them. Unfortunately, this product was a major disappointment. It has great features, is affordable but the display is terrible. I could not read any of the display numbers or navigate the menus. If the display was darker or even adjustable ...

Range finder
Great compact range finder with nice functions. Waterproof and easy to take anywhere. Good precision. Seems to be accurate. Good brand name and hope it will be around for a long time. Can't wait to try it out in several different situations.

Another great Leupold product
This rangefinder is priced affordably and works great. It is very accurate and easy to use. It is lightweight and easy to pack while hunting. I found that it is hard to hold steady without support but when I hold it steady it does a good job.
Pros:
- Lots of usable features
Cons:
- None

Great Rangefinder, likely best in class!
This thing is awesome. I bought it to replace a Sig Kilo 1250 that would only reliably range to 550 or so. This thing is every bit of a 1300+ yard rangefinder. I've ranged trees, rocks, bushes and banks all the way up to 1650 and in early morning and evening light on cloudy stormy days. Out to 1100 or so it's super easy to get a range on a lot of varied surfaces, its gets a lil more picky after that but ranges for trees and such out to 1650 which is as about as far as I've tried. I don't shoot at those ranges so that's all a bonus for me. I needed to be able to range out to 1000 or so every time and this does that in spades!
I only use the BAS setting in rifle which is reading Line of sight as well as angle. The TBR functions require you to utilize a predetermined ballistic profile of apparently factory load averages and that's just not close enough to what Im shootin. If you need those other functions the RX2800 is ur baby.
I'm totally pleased with it so far and its light years above and beyond the other that I have that's in the same price range. Leupold nailed it.

Pros:
- Fast, reliable, easily hits to beyond the 1300 yard rating
Cons:
- TBR requires use of factory load profile averages that are just guesses.

Rangefinder
I may not have owned many rangefinders but, I just want to talk about what I like about the Leupold RX-1300i TBR w/DNA Laser Rangefinder. I like the the ergonomics of this rangefinder, it is contoured to fit your hand rather nicely. The ease of use I found extremely helpful being that I have not owned many rangefinders. I can say without a doubt that this is a quality product that will last a very long time.
Pros:

Cons:

Best Used for:
- Deer Hunting

Buyer Beware
Mediocre electronics aspect of their company at best and terrible customer service on their electronic products. I’ll never buy another Leupold product again. I purchased a Rangefinder from Leupold and used it only a few times. Range finder dimmed and then eventually went out. Pinged customer service and they knew theirs was an engineering flaw, but opted not to stand behind a once quality name in terms of refund or exchange.

total garbage
When they say limited warranty...they aren’t joking. I will never buy a Leupold product again. Their electronic devices are worthless which is a shame because their traditional scopes are great. I will continue shop at Optics Planet because the customer service is fantastic, but I will never buy another Leupold product ever again because of the poor customer service response and inferior product.
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- customer service
Best Used for:
- A paper weight.

Leupold RX-1300I
Great range finder. Ranges to a tenth of a yard. Glass is clear and could be use a binocular. Ranging is accurate and repeatable. It is also compact and lightweight. Farthest I have range gave me a 1275 yards reading on trees. Outstanding value.
