I'me a leupold fan but was very surprised to find that this rangefinder is made in China. Not ok with that, I guess that's my fault for thinking all Leupolds are made in Oregan which I know now is not the case. As far as performance it is definitely entry level. I like the simplicity of it, but it does not do well in low light or any mist. Mist may be an issue for all range finders though. I have not had a side by side comparison to another range finder in early morning foggy situations. I have found it to give some odd readings though even in mid day, perfect conditions which is sad. Every time I use it I shoot the distance twice to double check which is obviously not ideal. I'd rate it a 3, it is clear, easy to read but not quit what I would have expected from Leupold.
