Most Helpful Positive Review Great range finder
Reviews for the new Leupold RX 650 were no where to be found on any web sight I looked at but since it was a Leupold product I took the chance and bought it. I won't repeat the listed description but will confirm the optic is bright and crystal clear even on a cloudy day viewing a brushy hillside. I...

Most Helpful Negative Review Not bad but made in China
I'me a leupold fan but was very surprised to find that this rangefinder is made in China. Not ok with that, I guess that's my fault for thinking all Leupolds are made in Oregan which I know now is not the case. As far as performance it is definitely entry level. I like the simplicity of it, but it d...

Simple to use.

by Gunner phil, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on June 10, 2020
No real features here, but ranges well. Uses one cr2 3 volt battery, could have gone another way, AA, AAA. You would never expect a Leupold item to be MADE IN CHINA, but it is. All things sold online or otherwise should have the country of manufacture, so we can make better buying choices.
Pros:
  • Small, easy to use.
Cons:
  • MADE IN CHINA just like covid-19, poor battery choice.
Best Used for:
  • Seeing how far away something is.

Simple and effective

by Floyd, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on January 8, 2020
Quality range finder. Very simple to use; just point and press. Only turns on when I’m active use and turns off immediately after. Comes with a cleaning cloth and carrying case. The manual states 5,000 uses on the battery life.

Great Rangefinder

by Bill, from MI, United States Written on December 21, 2019
Upgraded from a 20 year old Nikon. This rangefinder is half the size, twice as fast, and works better in low light conditions. Another great product from Leupold. Seems well built and the extra magnification is perfect.

RX-650 Leupold rangefinder

by Mike, from MI, United States Written on December 10, 2019
Works great and is light and small, just perfect for hunting or just ranging distance. It will probably outlast me, lol. I regret to say it did not help me get a huge buck this year but maybe I'll have better luck in the future. I hope all the hunters got their huge deer this year and have a Merry Christmas.

Works Very Well...

by RJ, from CA, United States Written on December 1, 2019
Had it less than a few days but it works GREAT but you can get a better range finder that goes beyond 650 yards for not much more money. In all honesty this is a $100 range finder...if you can get it for that then jump on it. As I said it works perfectly but is limited in range and features.
Pros:
  • works flawlessly
  • Price is..... just OK
  • Seems very durabel
Cons:
  • 650 Yard Range
  • Hard to see display in shadows

Great range finder for the money

by AR10guy, from NV, United States Written on July 16, 2017
This range finder is a great value! I've used it out to 600 yards and it's an invaluable tool for determining the old "just how far away is that anyway" question. The lense is clear, and battery life is good as well. I would recommend this and buy another if I somehow managed to lose it.

Impressed!!

by Moog, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on January 25, 2017
Only problem is I wish I had bought this long before now.
Works great and I have been able to read out pass 650yds. Only thing I wish it could do is read through glass better although I don't think any of them do that well.
OP had it on sale and it was a no brainer, thanks Optics Planet
Pros:
  • Price from Optics Planet.com
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • target
  • golf

Does exactly what I need it to do

by Island Hunter, from GU, United States Written on December 17, 2016
For the terrain we hunt in and the type of deer we hunt, this rangefinder comes just as advertised. I was lucky enough to purchase during all the great Christmas deals, what can I say...it's a Leupold.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hunting

Compact and Dependable

by David B., from AL, United States Written on November 21, 2016
This little rangefinder has worked perfectly so far. It is easy to carry and easy to use. It only takes seconds to measure the distance to your target and you get about 5000 actuations with the original battery. It is obviously built well and should be dependable for many years to come.
Pros:
  • durable
  • compact
  • Accurate
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • target practice

How far is it?

by Cecilio, from PR, United States Written on April 22, 2016
"Guesstimates" are acceptable when errors are of little consequence. Not so when hunting and precision shooting. Rangefinders are a MUST for a clean humanely-killing of game and obtaining your best competition scores. In addition to wind-reading skills and ground inclination data, knowing the precise target distance is paramount. Get one of these!
