I was a little hesitant to buy one of these because I read a bunch of negative things about them on internet forums. I read they don't work, are hard to use and so on. But, I read on Leupold's website that this RX-750 is a replacement for the older RX-II model. So, I figured they might have fixed whatever was wrong with the older models. The RX-750 I got works great. It is very fast: you can fan it from tree to tree and get readings as fast as you move -- there is a video showing this on Leupold's website, and mine works just as well as in the video. The reading seem perfectly accurate to me. I haven't actually made a test measurement with anything else. But, I can go from a tree that reads at 100 yards, to a tree that looks about five yards further, and the reading will change to "105"/"106"; what seems to be right on the money. My only real complaint is I have to take off my glasses to see through it; you have to put your eye right up to the eyepiece. Also, there are a lot of functions packed into only a couple buttons. So, you need to read the instructions to figure out how to use it -- and the instructions could be written better. But, this is only a learning issue and it performs as well as you could expect once you know how to use it. The angle yard function is very nice. You get straight-line yards, angle yards for various calibers, and it shows you the actual angle (e.g., 40 degrees -- in case you want to plug the straight-line yards plus the angle into ballistics software, instead of using the angle yards the rangefinder gives you).
Pros: price, works and has angle yards
Cons: can't use with eye glasses on
