It ranges fast and everything about it was awesome except for the fact that it was only picking up reflective objects toless than half the distance that it should.. Excellent Rangefinder
I have always been reluctant to rely on a rangefinder, preferring to gauge distance by comparison to known measurements (I.e the width of the body of a deer). I have already used this rangefinder to find distances not easily measured without one and have found it to be accurate and reliable. I can't wait to use it on my next hunt. Great product!

Doesn't range far enough
I bought this range finder and then upgraded to the 1200i after one day. It ranges fast and everything about it was awesome except for the fact that it was only picking up reflective objects toless than half the distance that it should.. I didn't try it on animals as I got rid of it after I couldn't even range a metal road sign at about 250 yards on a bright sunny day. I love Leupold products and was surprised at this rangefinders weakness. I am not a long range shooter but I did want this for hunting and I don't need a rangefinder to tell me a deer is at 200 yards, I need one for 250-400 yard distances and to be able to do this reliably. If you want one for just bow hunting and shorter ranges this one would be fine, otherwise upgrade to the 1200i.
