Most Helpful Negative Review Not Bad...
This ARD works well when installed on my rimfires. It is secure in the scope and does not make a noticeable difference in brightness or clarity. I put it on a .223 rifle and the recoil caused it to loosen from the objective bell and misalign. Think dark view through scope. If this was screw in, ...

Anti reflective lens shade

Good product very sturdy could handle some abuse, really takes the glare from your scope and keeps you hidden that much more. Exactly what I was wanting being there's not much cover in my area and the sun beams down on us when we're predator hunting.

Great Killflash for a really good price. Fits on my Burris Fullfield E1 with little to no modification and is invisible in the field of view. It's a Leupold so what do you expect? Highly recommended.

bought this to hunt with, i do some up close hunting from the ground and wanted something to hide my scope objective.
it does a good job, just not in low light.
Pros: goes on quick
Cons: not good in low light

Great Kill Flash

This is a great sunshade...kill flash..have it on my pre 2004 Leupold vari x III 6.5x20 on my Anshultz .17HMR...even tho its threaded it still works...also one on my Daniel Defense AR with a Redfield Revolution 3-9x40...works as a great kill flash on the AR....great price lots of 40mm kill flash's go for over $50...
Pros: easy to use...works great...good price

Leupold ScopeSmith Lens Shade ARD 40mm Anti-Reflection Device

Works well at providing "anti-flash" from the objective lens and help reduce noticeable light flair-up to the person behind the scope. Recommend if a long sunshade is not desireable. Coupled with a pop-up OBJ lens cover, this is a great way to finish up a scoped firearm.

Purchased for a Leupold 3-9x40 and it fits great. Butler Creek flip open cover goes on over it witout a problem. It reduced lens glare without the need for any other lens shade. The light baffles are not visible when viewed through the scope. Also provides extra lens protection.
Pros: Great price, compact and fits great.
Cons: None
