Leupold quality, but may not fit your scope - Leupold ScopeSmith Lens Shade for Adjustable Objective Rifle Scopes

First off this sunshade is very good quality, and it may fit some 40mm Leupold scopes better than others. I would not recommend it for the Mark AR series, but others may fit better. Your experience may be different from mine. While it did screw into both of my 40mm Leupold Mark AR scopes the outside diameter was significantly smaller than my scope body. This left a stepped appearance that I was not happy with, and obviously my scope caps did not fit on the sunshade because it was so much smaller. Due to these visual problems I chose not to use this product. It was fully functional and fit, but the appearance left much to be desired. I wanted a flush, even, consistent surface, not a stepped reduction in diameter. I considered returning it but never got around to it so it sits in its original packaging in my workbench.
