Adequate scope for the 100 yd sight in at the range. The spotting scope itself is durable. Disappointed in the quality of the tripod accompanying the scope. Spend a little more and get a better spotting scope!

Great product.
Right out of the box you can see the quality. Leupold just living up to its reputation as high end optics at a reasonable price. Been using Leupold rifle scopes, binoculars and now spotting scope. Could not be happier with them.

Wildlife spotter
This is an affordable and great spotting scope package. The scope is great for most spotting uses. You could spend hundreds more and really not get a lot more for what you need it for. The neoprene scope cover is a bit small but with some use will loosen up.

Was Expecting a LOT more for the price
Once you get it out of the foam bag, a challenge, the scope is impressive. The large 80mm objective lens is protected by an easy to remove cap. Mounting it on a tripod is straight forward and its adjustments are conveniently placed and easy to make.
At 100 yards and 30X/45X magnification the image is crystal clear and quite impressive. The higher magnification the same image becomes much less clear which is disappointing, not what I was expecting from a premier optics manufacturer. I have 3 high power Leupold rifle scopes, all amazingly clear throughout their magnification range. I wish I could say the same for this scope.
