I have the Leupold VX-I 2-7X28 and the Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 3-9X40. I prefer the glass (slightly) and the compactness on the Leupold. I (much) prefer the user interfaces, ie focusing, power adjustment, windage and elevation adjustment, on the Nikon. The Nikon is also less expensive. If you buy the Leupold it's best to install it go out and set it once then never readjust it. It is compact which is a plus.
Pros: Compact, Good eye relief, Good glass
Cons: Power and focus adjustment somewhat difficult.
