Ideal rimfire scope for 50-75 yards - Leupold VX-1 2-7x28mm .22 Caliber Rimfire Rifle Scope

Perfect scope for my CZ 452 special military trainer in .22lr. I wanted a scope that matched the quality and appearance of this rifle and a Leupold was the natural choice. Because of its 28 mm length, the scope fits well behind the fantastic iron sights, which other, longer scopes tend to interfere with. I used the CZ steel scope rings (19001) and mounting was simple.

I've put about 150 rounds through the rifle now with this 2-7 power scope and am happy with the results shooting at 258, 50, 75, and 100 yards. However, I will say that at the upper limit the sight picture is just slightly under powered. This scope seems to excel at the 50-75 yard range, which is where I do my shooting with this rifle anyway.

One final comment is that the glass and overall fit and finish is absolutely excellent and exceeds anything I've seen in this class. Knowing that I will keep this rifle for a very long time, I felt that the ~$75 price premium will be long forgotten before the loses a penny of its value to me.
