David Iarussi's Review of Leupold VX-2 3-9x33mm Ultralight Rifle Scope
This scope has the very highest reviews because it earns it. I am extremely happy with its light weight (8.9 ozs,) on a .308 Savage Accustock bolt rifle. This scope has extremely sharp outlines and color in the image, with super clarity coupled with extremely high light transmission for low light; shadows and twilight views. Has the best features you expect in a highly rated high-end scope costing close to double. Plus comes with the well backed up Leupold's lifetime warrantee.
Once I decide best load, Leupold will send custom dials to match ballistics of my load; drop, Ballistic co-efficient, etc. - for free.
Never thought it could be this good. Before you are disappointed with a $250 scope, get one of these for $130 more. You would have spent $550 the cheapo- unhappy way and still have only one scope you love. Save up a bit more and get one scope you will love for around $350. Best deal and best scope I have ever purchased, shooting for over 20 years.

Pros:
- image, light weight, color transmission, clarity, light transmission, rugged, warrantee, mounts low to barrel
Cons:
- adjusting dial a bit stiff but this is brand new. I want them tight and expect they will soften with use. Another con is it makes my friends jelous
- adjusting dial slightly too tight but scope is brand new so should relax slightly with use.
Best Used for:
- medium-long range hunting, target where weight and value are most needed while very cost-effective.
