Stick with leupold - Leupold VX-2 4-12x40mm Adjustable Objective Rifle Scope

Particularly like the fine duplex reticle for target work at longer ranges. The range estimation feature included in the zoom ring is handy. Leupold's lifetime guarantee (they replaced a 35 yr old scope for me for free) is NOT to be sneezed at.
Pros: Good exit pupil, bright image
Cons: 40 mm objective may require minor mount shims if low rings are used
