Stick with Leupold
Particularly like the fine duplex reticle for target work at longer ranges. The range estimation feature included in the zoom ring is handy. Leupold's lifetime guarantee (they replaced a 35 yr old scope for me for free) is NOT to be sneezed at.

New fast focus ocular wobbly
If I could return this scope I would. The new fast focus occular is wobbly and when it wiggles it changes point of aim defeating hope for old Leupold consistency and accuracy. They are just trying too hard to make them cheaper. Vortex and Nikon are now much better for the money.
Leupold VX-2 4-12x40mm Adjustable Objective Rifle Scope
I bought the CDS windplex 4-12x40 ao, this is installed on my Ruger 10/22 heavy barrel. Perfect for hunting and plinking make holding for the cross winds a lot easier. 4 power great for taking a fast shot at a running rabbit etc. and 12 power is great for distance or when you have time to set up for the shot. Also this has the ability to focus down to 20 yards very important for 22lr shooting.

Enthusiast
I bought my first Leupold in 1968 now own nine, vx1,vx2,vx3 they all do a great job. like most say you get what you pay for. I put the 4-12x40mm A.O. on my 10-22 lots of fun from 25yd to 100yd. I have found some good deals at Optics Planet.

Very Good Scope
This Leupold has very clear glass but not the best eye relief. Maybe I am a little picky but I have other Leupolds that have better eye relief but I do want to acknowledge this is a quality scope at great price. You will have a hard time finding better prices than what this site has to offer.

Well worth the money
I wanted a scope with a fine reticle for my 17 hmr. The optical quality is superb and while the reticle maybe a touch difficult to see when sighting in on a black target it works very well in the field by not covering the head of a ground squirrel at 100yds so you get to see the impact. Increasing the magnification does not reduce image sharpness and you won't need a spotting scope when sighting in at 100yds. Windage and elevation adjustments were positive and consistent - took 3 shots to sight the rifle in. This is my first Leupold purchase and it definitely won't be my last!

Top notch piece of equipment
This is the second Leupold 4-12x40 AO VX-II that I have purchased this year, they are added to my already large inventory of leupold scopes. I am a very loyal leupold user and will swear by them, both of the 4-12 AO's have been placed on precision 22's. I have to say that without question this scope is the ideal match for a precision rimfire.

Excellent Scope
Bought this as a Father's Day present. Dad is a retired gunsmith so he knows his stuff. He reports that the scope is doing very well. And is happy with it. Since his report has been so good I will be buying a pair of Leupold VX-2 AO 4-12x40 scopes for myself.

Leupold VX-2 4-12x40mm Rifle Scope
This is a great rifle scope. The variable power makes it useful for hunting or target work. The adjustable objective provides a clear sharp view. Eye relief is more than adequate. Leupold VX-2 4-12x40mm Adjustable Objective Rifle Scope
Excellent quality scope, and will work great on my .300 Mag. I wanted a good quality scope that I could use for local deer hunting and long range hunting out west. This one should do both great. I also need ascope that can be hunted with is sub-zero temps, or rain or snow.
