Leupold vx-3hd scope - Leupold VX-3HD 4.5-14x40mm Rifle Scope, 1in Tube, Second Focal Plane (SFP)

I enjoy collecting classic firearms with really great wood. The Leupold VX-3HD optics perform exceptionally well even on the heaviest recoiling of these rifles. But they also maintain the classic looks of a premium Leupold scope. I prefer the closed turret versions in order to keep a streamlined profile and the CDS turrets work so well I don't really need a target turret to shoot long distances. However, I also prefer the 40 mm objective, 1-inch tube and duplex reticles which come at a cost. Since I do not care for using 20 degree picatinny rails I find that some calibers enable the CDS turrets to only reach up to around 750 yards. But that's generally far enough for my use and I don't hunt at those distances anyway. I also have to say that the duplex reticles and 14x power may be limiting to some at first. But I've found that I can see plenty clearly up to 700 to ring steel every time. But then again...I don't keep rifles that won't perform.
