I purchased the Warne 30mm fixed PA scope rings for use on a Weatherby 240 Weatherby Magnum rifle.The rings attached well to the rail and the Leupold VX3HD scope. The rings were checked for alignment with a 30mm alignment bar and they were machined perfectly. I am very pleased with the Warne rings and would use them again due to their strength and rigidity. This is a great product and at a great price point for quality rings. I highly recommend.

The Timney trigger I purchased for a 300 Weatherby Vanguard is an excellent upgrade. The 3 lb setting enables me to do my part in getting the best accuracy from this rifle. It had already gone through the Weatherby Custom Shop but they left the OEM trigger installed. The Timney trigger is a great,safe addition.

The Leupold VX-3HD rifle scope fully lives up to the highest standards of quality, clarity and robust performance hunters expect of Leupold products. This scope went on a Ruger No 1 in 220 Swift which is capable of shooting as straight and fast as the shooter can see. Unfortunately mediocre glass usually means not too far. And unless a person is willing to lay down almost a grand, stellar performance is out of their reach. But the VX3-HD is very reasonably priced. And with the CDS system I can simply dial in the distance on the Hunter Turret , make the shot, then return it quickly and accurately to the positive Zero location on the turret. It's always linear and accurate and extremely repeatable. Who could ask for more at any price!

The Leupold VX-3HD 4.5-14x40mm Rifle Scope I just purchased is the 6th I've bought since this model has been out. It performs to Leupold high standards in every regard. I bought this one for a Ruger No 1 in 6.5-284 and it looks great on the classic lines of the Ruger and performs perfectly. The accuracy of the rifle is only enhanced by this scope and the adjustments are are crisp and repeatable. Optics Planet had the very best price on the scope even though the quality is well above entry level Leupolds. I'm extremely satisfied with the scope and the service and pricing Optics Planet gives all it's customers. You don't have to be a huge volume dealer to receive special benefits. Nor do you have to join a club in order to get exclusives.

The Vortex Diamondback HP 4-16x42 rifle scope is the perfect hunting scope for me. The elevation adjustment cover makes it impossible to accidentally spin the dial out of adjustment when removing the rifle from a bag or when brushing against clothing. This is a really important feature for me. The 42mm objective lense allows me to use low or medium rings which places the scope at the right height when the rifle is shouldered. And the maximum of 16 power is more than enough for me to use out to distances where I never exceed for ethical shots, although it's still plenty of power to target shoot out to 600 yards. I've shot 1000 yds with ease at 18x but it's challenging for the 16x. At 4x the side adjustment for parallax let's me focus down to around 40 yards for those unexpected close shots. I own 8 of these exact scopes simply because I get the same sight picture with each rifle and I'm very comfortable with the controls. I only have one improvement that I wish for and that's a little finer crosshair. Otherwise these are great scopes! And the Vortex warranty can't be improved on.

The Vortex Diamondback HP 4-16x42 has become my favorite scope for all hunting and mid to long range occasional shooting. I have this specific optic on seven rifles ranging from 204 Ruger to 280 Ackley Improved. Even on 16x there is no noticable parallel related distortion and the glass is crystal clear. One of the main features I love for hunting is the elevation turret cap which prevents the knob from being inadvertently turned as the rifle is drawn from a soft case, which I prefer on a side by side. The elevation control has a relatively low profile which works much better for me than the tall tactical knobs which seem to be in vogue. I would like to see a zero stop on the elevation adjustment but it's absence is not so much a factor with the non tactical cap. Eye relief is just right for quick acquisition when hunting and the 42mm bell lets me use low rings with tapered barrels. I can run medium rings on my Ruger No 1s,Win 1885 in 6.5 CM and Browning 78 in 6mm. These are robust scopes at very good prices. I highly recommend them.
