The best bang for the buck with leupold large objective side focus cds firedot without vx6 prices. - Leupold VX-5HD 3-15x56mm Rifle Scope, 30 mm Tube, Second Focal Plane (SFP)

56 mm objective. It took forever it seems to be in stock ANYWHERE, but i'm glad i held out. Craftsmanship is typical Leopold gold ring perfection , nice weight, no serious issues with mount clearance on a weatherby vanguard S2 270win. Warne med's or Leupold prw Mediums would have worked with about 1/16" barrel clearance w/out flip covers. High prw's gave me 1/8" plus a smidge. Using a warne Pic rail. Warne maxima's obscure the cds. About to get Spuhr medium unimount and we'll see how she works. Light gathering and eye box seem excellent.
