The best option - Leupold VX6 1-6x24 CDS Riflescope w/ FireDot Illuminated Reticle

The VX6 1-6x24 with the fire dot reticle is the best all around option for my AR-10 carbine. Great glass, real 1x power for use similar to a red dot sight. Target acquisition with this scope is fast and the tube pretty much disappears when acquiring targets at 1x. I used a 1.5" rail to center of scope mounting and you only see a bit of the top rail at 1x -- works just fine. And when you need to hit at 200-300 yards you can do it with this scope as well. I built my carbine with a custom 16" barrel to shoot accurately, and it and the scope do everything I need it too. The scope is not too heavy but is rugged. Fire dot works perfectly too.
