very impressed
This scope is amazing. Very clear at all power settings, pretty light weight, good eye relief. They are expensive, but when you hold up to comparable scopes it is actually priced lower. In my opinion, this is the same level as a Swarovski Z5, but for $500 less and easy access for warranty work should the need arise.
Pros: very clear at all power ranges, very high quality
Cons: none I can think of
(CDS) dial expect long wait time
Optics look good but ordering your dial from Leopold may take months.they lost my information on their website using their form. After a 2 month wait time I have to use the dial on scope and ballistic data from the internet without the custom made dial.

Cons:
- Long wait time on custom dial

Leupold VX-6 3-18x44mm Riflescope
Searched everywhere for this scope because Leupold came out with a new model. Found it at optics planet at a good price and shipped free and fast. Mounted on my great grandfathers 1956 Weatherby 300 Mag and wanted a good scope for this family heirloom. Worked great and will buy all future optics and other gear from Optics Planet. Wish I know earlier as they had a good price on a hunting backpack which I ordered and used from a big box outfitter.

- Price
- free fast shipping

Leupold VX-6 3-18x44mm Riflescope
Finally got a chance to use this scope, mounted it on a Weatherby 300WM and took it to the range.
This scope is fantastic bright and clear.
Dials are precise this scope has the zero lock and what a great feature to bring it back to zero without having to look.
The scope holds zero with the recoil of the 300WM after many shots.
It was easy to dial in, at 100 yards I was getting 3 shot groups that a nickel could cover.
3-18 magnification really brings the target close and the illuminated dot on the reticle helps in low light and against dark targets.
Now I will get the free Custom Dial System from Leupold for the ammo I will use.

Great clarity
I bought this scope at terrific price of $900.
It's a purchase i do not regret at all. Mounted it on a ruger m77 300 win mag and I
Can tell you that shooting at 600 yards vs 100 yards the clarity is terrific

Leupold VX-6 3-18X44 SF FireDot Scope -- A Winner
I am admittedly a Leupold fan -- I have many of them, mostly VX-2s and VX-3s -- as well as Bushnell Elites, Weaver Grand Slams, Sightron SIII Big Sky and even a Nightforce Competition, so I think I know a good scope. And this Leupold is a GOOD scope! Bright, sharp and clear to the edges, a good eye box, the convenience of side focus, and a six-fold power range makes this scope very versatile. Add the FireDot option for low light situations -- the icing on the cake. Yes, it's a 30mm rather than a 1" diameter, so a bit larger/heavier than the average scope but not unduly so, and that 30mm allows the optical advantages offered by this scope. I put it on my Anschutz 1710D HB (a .22) and it does not look out of place. Highly recommended!

VX-6 3-18x44mm
Overall great quality. Good glass and fast focus eyepiece is a plus. Only negative is I would have liked the elevation and windage adjustments to be more tactile. Feeling a solid "click" would aid in fine adjustments.

VX6 climax
I bought the Leupold VX6 to mount on my flat top 6.5 Grendel AR and the combo is deadly accurate. The 6.5 Grendel is superior in every aspect to the 5.56. I am not sure why the US Military does not adopt it. I used the scope and my rifle on a management hunt in West Texas. Piled right there 3 bucks and a mature doe. The shots ranged from 112 yds to 148yds. I got this scope on sale because leupold decided to upgrade the VX6 line but in my opinion its more marketing hype than technological advances. Save money and buy this scope. This scope is crystal clear and has amazing light transmission. Spotted deer using my swaro binocs (its a $2900 binocular but the best I've ever used) before the sun came out. I switched to the Leupold and the light gathering was so impressive to the point that I left the swaro binocs hanging on my chest. I could see the racks well enough to identify management bucks! The 6x zoom gives you the ability to hit anything close and far. This is the ideal scope for hunting. My previous scopes were all FFP reticles but for hunting I would not recommend it! You want a nice clear glass etched reticle and not a bunch of tiny scales or markings when hunting. Get the zero lock feature. Once you range out your specific ammo the second focal plane is smashing. The motion activated fire dot also worked like a dream. The side focus corrected any parallax fuzziness. The magnification ring was easily adjusted and not like some of my other scopes where y...

Leupold VX- 6
This is an amazing scope. The clarity is first rate, and the Fire Dot reticle makes it possible to see your P O A well into the dark of night. On a full moon night I am able to see, and hit targets out to 100 to 150 yrds with out any other light source. This is a great scope and well worth the money. If you can afford paying a little more for this scope, do it. You won't be disappointed.

Incredible clarity
Owned several Leupolds and by far this scope has the best glass of any I've used. Crystal clear. This scope really shines in quality at low light. When you can't hardly see with the naked eye this scope still is pulling light from somewhere. It's amazing how much you can still see in extreme low light. Highly recommend.
Love the 3x18 magnification also. At 18 power where most scopes lose clarity this one doesn't but remains clear. Ordered mine with the fine duplex which to me is perfect especially on longe range shots. Tried the regular duplex and did not like the fact that at 400-500 yards seemed to cover the target or animal way too much.

Awesome scope!
Absolutely fantastic scope, clear throughout the entire magnification range which is one of the things I was concerned about with the wide range, 3-18x! Side focus is really convenient and the turrets as my other Leupolds have a nice absolute click feel so no need to look while making adjustments and you can keep eye on target. Custom cds dial is a cool option, I have mine in order and can't comment on that option but from what I read about it, I'm sure I won't be disappointed. The magnification adjustment is really stiff but at least it won't move if you accidentally hit it. The TMOA reticle is fantastic, lots of tools on it yet keeps the sight picture nice and clean. I was initially concerned with the small space between the cross hairs but I assure you, this is a non issue! It is way too small to hurt accuracy yet genius and as a matter of fact can get on pinpoint target more accurately at long distances. At 400-600 yards my other reticles without a fitedot crosshairs make it tougher to pinpoint aim but the tmoa has just enough of space to make it easier to aim. I wish they made it with the firedot but the trade off was well worth it , no regrets. I have a foredot reticle on another build and it is awesome but I still enjoy shooting with the tmoa reticle more. Pretty lightweight, holds zero, have it on a .308 rifle. Price is right for a scope of this quality and the lifetime warranty makes it even more of a no brainer. Fabulous scope!
