Amazingly crisp and clear, lightweight, easy to setup and use - Leupold VX-6HD 3-18x50mm Rifle Scope, 30mm Tube, Second Focal Plane

Bought a VX-5HD from another vendor and really liked it on my rifle and wanted something with a little more magnification. Was able to get this discounted from OpticsPlanet for about the same price and the reach to the target going from 3-15 to 3-18 wouldn't seem that big a deal, but I'm using it for groundhogs in tall grass. Zero was easy, the scope is more accurate than I am, adjustments are more than fine enough same with how crisp and clear the image I get from 3x to 18x full sun and at dusk. Illumination is great, love that it keeps the last setting.

One note is that VX-6HD comes with flip caps and the removable throw lever, which means you don't get the rubber bikini cover of the VX-5HD. If your rifle has scout iron sights like mine, use a thin piece of string in the threads between the cap and the scope body to act as a spacer to adjust where the flip caps rest / open so they don't interfere with the sights or throw lever.
