The new vx6 was a great combo with a savage 110 ultralite 6.5 prc I wanted to build a pack able rifle and optics planet had all the stuff I needed for my build Talley one piece rings atlas bt 81 rail for bipod. Very happy with scope fire dot radical. No problem to shoot out to 1000 yds

Bought a VX-5HD from another vendor and really liked it on my rifle and wanted something with a little more magnification. Was able to get this discounted from OpticsPlanet for about the same price and the reach to the target going from 3-15 to 3-18 wouldn't seem that big a deal, but I'm using it for groundhogs in tall grass. Zero was easy, the scope is more accurate than I am, adjustments are more than fine enough same with how crisp and clear the image I get from 3x to 18x full sun and at dusk. Illumination is great, love that it keeps the last setting.

One note is that VX-6HD comes with flip caps and the removable throw lever, which means you don't get the rubber bikini cover of the VX-5HD. If your rifle has scout iron sights like mine, use a thin piece of string in the threads between the cap and the scope body to act as a spacer to adjust where the flip caps rest / open so they don't interfere with the sights or throw lever.

Excellent scope, great magnification, installed it on a Tikka 30 06. Just installed a new custom dial from Leopold, and rifle shoots great out to 300 yards. That's as long of a shot I have until range day. I recommend this scope to anyone wanting some fantastic optics that are real user friendly.

This is an amazing scope. The clarity is incredible even in low light. It is the perfect do it all hunting scope. Just what i was looking for, and definitely worth the price.

Clear class from edge to edge. Looks as if you’re using your bare eye with a reticle in front of it. Parallax dial hones in at the proper distance for a crisp image. Power variable ring is easy to adjust. Best feature is how well it works in low lighting conditions

If you have a rifle chambered for a cartridge that can take advantage of a high power scope you will not be disappointed with this scope. The 50mm objective will maximize usable light during early morning and late afternoon hunting. The CDS feature will allow a spot-on hold out to the maximum distance marked on the elevation dial (this after the information is sent to Leupold required to make a customized dial). The battery operated Firedot aids in pinpoint holding in low light conditions. All this along with crystal clear optics. Truly a fine instrument. This is my fourth one.

This Leupold VX-6-HD 3-18X50 CDS-ZL2, with fire dot reticle is everything I was hoping for. When you spend the money to buy a Hi-end product, it's a big decision. Fear not, this scope is crystal clear, easy to focus, accurate to the MOA click, and the Firedot will keep me out there later and earlier in the morning when big game is on the move. And the Alumina Flip Back Caps are silent, and smooth, making this scope and accessories very cool. The ability to slide scope forward or backward is a little short so consider that when getting your rings, but the plentiful eye relief took care of that for me. And that makes this scope light weight. Yes, this is a Five star scope!
