One of the best scout scopes available
This Leupold scout scope is one of the best scout scopes available. It has all of the high quality that you expect from a top brand like Leupold. I mounted this scope forward over the barrel on a Marlin 336 in .30-30 and I can consistently make hits on a 10x12 plate at 200 yards. The scope has great...

wrong scope
I can’t use this scope on my m1a scout rifle eye relief is not enough! I’m a big fan and user of all things Leupold! But not this time!
Perfect for my Marlin 1895 SBL
I mounted this scope on my Marlin 1895 sbl. Very clear and long eye relief is perfect for forward mount. So far holds zero and producing 1 inch groups with Hornady 410 grain subsonic.
Best Used for:
- close to medium range

Leupold VX-Freedom Scout
The glass is clear, and the crosshairs work well enough. I bought this optic for the sole purpose of trying to get good groups out of a Springfield M1A Scout, with the optic mounted on the factory rails forward of the ejection port. From there I had to mount the scope as far back as possible. The scope covers most of the ejection port, but that has not affected reliability at all, and the brass does not seem to be hitting the scope. At 5'8" my neck is not long enough to lean into the scope far enough to use the 4x setting. At best I can use the 2x setting. There just isn't enough eye relief to run this on the M1A Scout.
Pros:
- QUALITY OPTIC
Cons:
- I need more eye relief
Would recommend: Yes
Love it on my Ruger Scout Rifle
Great Scope. I’m using it on a Ruger Scout Rifle in 350 Legend to deer hunt in IL. I had the opportunity to mount and shoot with both a Burris Scout Scope and this Leupold and I liked this scope hands down. The Burris was a a very good scope but this Leupold was better for the things I was looking for. These are my opinions.
The Leupold had better overall clarity, it’s excellent. It keeps good clarity through all magnifications.
The Burris has much more eye relief. It was actually hard to believe how much relief it has and still keeps a good sight picture.
The Burris has higher magnification but the edges blur at the higher magnifications, the Leupold does not.
It’s an excellent scope and I’d by another if needed.

Perfect match
This scope was a perfect match to my Mossberg MVP scout rifle in 308. Installed it with the Leupold low rings. The rifle snaps into the shoulder with an eye relief that is easily on target with an awareness of the background. Will use it as my Deer rifle in the north east as normal shots are with in the 300 yard range or closer. The only reason i gave it a 4 star rating as i need to take it afield a few more times.

Best Scout Scope
Im honestly someone who is very cheap when it comes to buying anything. It was hard for me to purchase this but it was worth every penny. The quality is fantastic ! The lowlight performance is suprisingly good given it only has a 28mm objective.

Scout scope
Fantastic glass and clarity on this scope and loving it! I’ve found it to be easy to sight in and ability to see outside of the scope to gain the target quickly. This was mounted using a picatinny rail and mounts.

Crystal Clear Optics for a great price
You won’t find anything more clear than this 4x for the price. 100% recommended if you’re not into spending 5k+ on a scope. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The lifetime warranty is a great upside to the buy, also you don’t have to worry about it depreciating in value. You can pretty much sell any scope if it’s in the same condition for around the same price you snagged it for.
Pros:
- Its not a 7x
Cons:
- Itsnot a 7x
Best Used for:
- Hunting. Yes hunting.

Leupold scout scope
I put this scope on my Ruger #1 65x55. Pushed forward on the rings the eye relief is perfect. This is my second Leupold scout, the first one is on my Ruger #1 405 Winchester. Great product ! I gave the Leupold a shot because after trying several ring and scope combinations the 6inch eye relief looked workable. Bingo, perfect for my old eyes.
Pros:
- hard to beat Leupold
Cons:
- wish it was a little smaller
Best Used for:
- hunting
