I’ve used Leupold scopes for years. Recently I was looking for a scope for my Volquartsen 17hmr. I wanted fairly high magnification, 30 mm tube and didn’t want too big of objective lens in order to keep the scope mounted low on the rifle. In the past I’d have gone with a VX II 6-18 but found Leupold was no longer making them. That’s when I saw the Freedom 6-18, not having held one in hand I was a little reluctant to order but I took a chance and let me tell you I couldn’t be happier that I did. Leupold 6-18X40

What can I say. It's a Leupold. I bought it for a CZ 457 American in .17 HMR. The rifle has the adjustable stock and medium weight 24 inch barrel. The scope looks good on the rifle and I like the side focus adjustment. I also am a fan of 40 mm objective bell. It keeps the scope low on the rifle. Regular hits on a quarter sized bull at 100 yards are common.

Unique Scope

I like the size and dimensions. This is going on a hunting rifle and it looks sleek with the 40mm Objective. I didn't want a huge 50mm target type scope and this fit the need perfectly. The CDS is an added bonus. The price point was just right

Purchased this scope for some back yard shooting 268 yard as clear as day set on 18 power .
Great scope great deal .
I wish i had purchased two my daughter would have loved it .
