This scope is the most sturdy and efficient scope to use on a heavy recoil magnum handgun and that is why I chose it. You get what you pay for either in success or grief. Leupold is the leader in quality and durable scopes. That is why I have many of them.

I wanted to try this scope in a scout configuration (forward on rifle). Not very useful as the magnification was too weak to have much value added. Not really a problem with the scope as I realize now the scout style configuration is kinda silly. Iron sights or red dot is better if one is trying to keep rifle light (my goal on my 357 lever) for a walk in the woods.

This is now mounted on a Ruger super Blackhawk hunter and it is awesome! Crystal clear and the 15 inch eye relief is perfect for my handgun! Having the gold ring warranty on this scope only makes it better

I just bout this scope a few weeks ago for my Marlin 1895SBL rifle. The price was competitive and the service was good. Even during Covid slow downs I still received my scope in under a week which is not bad at all. I have been purchasing from OP for years now and they have yet to let me down.
Regarding the scope, I am more than happy with Leupold's craftsmanship. The eye relief is perfect for the rifle its mounted to. The only problem now is finding ammo.

I got this scope for an elk hunt and was incredibly pleased with it. Setup was super easy, and zeroing in didn’t take much effort at all. On one occasion I dropped my rifle but when I took it back to the range it was still zeroed in perfectly. I would definitely recommend this for a purchase.

Best scope for a pistol that I have ever used! Glass is very clear and the zoom capabilities are more than needed for most handgun calibers in a hunting situation, but with a table or a rest and with a caliber that can really “reach out there” this scope is perfect! I have always loved the “gold ring” scopes! They do cost a bit more than other options out there but in my opinion they are well worth the $! I have this scope on my S&W 460 XVR 10.5” and I love it! I’m thinking I’ll get another one for my 44mag....maybe a little too much scope?....nah! I think it’ll be great!

This scope is of top quality and performance. On my super redhawk 7.5 inch barrel it fits perfectly and looks great. I have the weigand scope mount for the 44 mag super redhawk. I'd have to say Leopold did well in building this scope. It is a little less than 10 inches long. I wanted the best for my out in the woods revolver and this is certainly it for me. The field of view changes because it is a variable magnification scope. It goes from 2.5X up to 8X. It is very easy to look through and get a quick sight picture because of the large diameter lenses. The 24 K gold ring and medallion are a nice touch for all you gold bugs out there. The coating on the Matt Black version reminds me of a diamond ion bond coating which resists scratches. It might be a little big for really short revolvers and handguns. Leopold makes shorter ones too. I like that it adds weight to my 44 magnum helping reduce muzzle flip. You get what you pay for with this scope. Truly awesome and professional.

I installed this scope on a S&W 500 and so far it's been great. I have 20 rounds through it and it's held zero very well. The glass is clear, and The eye relief is perfect. I think that this scope is definitely worth the money.
