Most Helpful Positive Review Leupold VX-3 4.5x40 Side Focus, Varmint Reticle
Being a varmint hunter for nearly 50 years, I was looking for a scope with a fine reticle for small targets AND one with quick to use "holdover" marks to correct for drop at the longer ranges. This scope fills the bill and the side focus feature is a real plus, allowing sharp views at variable distances with an easily reachable dial. Pros: Side focus (parallax) adj, useful reticle, optical quality, made in USA. Cons: information lacking about dimensions of reticle prior to purchase. .

This Leupold VX-3 is the seventh (golden ring) I now own (all VX-2's and VX-3's). As always i recievrd exaclty what I expected. Excellent fit, finish and fuction. Whether I use my Leupolds for target shooting, plinking or hunting applications, they never fail. These scopes do not fog up or lose their zero. Windage and elevation adjustments are crisp, accurate and consistent. Their lenses are clear on sunny days at the range and and are truly amazing in low light/twilight settings. This quality Leupold scope will surely not be the last I buy. Every rifle deserves one above it.

This is my third VX-3 Long Range Scope.
They are a great scope.
Leupold make very good scopes for the price.
I have used them for hunting and they function correctly.
I will buy more Leupold products in the future.

Leupold VXIII 4.5-14x40 LR

Bombproof and predictable. Excellent clarity and function. Used on 289 AI, 22-250 and 300Win Mag with no issues. Excellent size for a long range hunting rifle. Focus is fast and reliable and the elevation and windage functions are accurate.

Another leupold scope that is great

This is the second scope that is identical to this one I have bought. I will put it on a 7STW that I have. The first scope like this was a gift to my son. He has used it on several mountain hunts, and a plains game hunt in Africa. It performed fantastically, as is expected for a Leupold scope.

Great scope for a great price.

Perfect scope for my needs to complete a walking varmint rifle. The side parallax adjustment as opposed to the adjustable objective makes for a compact setup. Was concerned a little with the fine duplex in low light conditions but haven't had any issues yet. This should be the perfect scope for my Indiana coyote hunting.

Leupold are the best scopes for the money.

I own more then a dozen Leupold scopes most of which are VX-3's and have purchased some of them more then 30 years ago. Several times I accidentally bashed my scope, once on rock another time my sling broke with the rifle across my back while riding a 4-wheeler about 20 MPH on a rocky road and Leupold fixed the scopes for free and paid return shipping. When I find a product that stands out above the rest with this kind of warranty I am always going to buy that product.

great product at great price

Placed scope on Volquartsen 22mag, excellent clear optics at a fraction of the price of European glass. I especially like the side focus feature for long range varmint shooting. I added the Leupold flip up aluminum lens covers as the supplied lens sock is poorly designed. Love the Leupold lifetime guarantee.

Beautiful Scope

As usual a very well made and beautiful scope. Boy! does it look nice on top of my Anschutz 22 Hornet.
I've used Leupolds customer service a number of times and they've always come thru. Such nice people and a great company and it's right here in the USA.
What else can you buy today that has a lifetime warranty?
All my scopes are Leupold
