Good as it gets - Leupold VX-3 4.5-14x50mm Long Range Rifle Scope

I own many brands of scopes but leupold is still my ole reliable. This particular scope, (4.5x14x50mm LR), was bought for a 338 win mag that hits hard and needs the assurance of a rock solid scope. Leupold has always fulfilled that niche and I have many examples, some of which are more than 40 years old. I shop my optics only at optics planet based upon the selection, price, customer service and shipping care. They too have a standing reputation of excellence with me! The leupold brand has stood the test of time, quality and customer service. There are more expensive scopes out there that I like as much as this one, but I can't say that there are any that offer a better optic picture than the VX-3, even when compared to the big brother VX-6. I demand several things in all my hunting scopes, 50mm objectives, side focus adjustment and the standard plex reticile. Many argue that a 50mm objectives isn't necessary and that side focus on a hunting scope is a waste of time. For me, I'm sticking with what has proven successful while hunting dawn and dusk conditions that make all these accessories invaluable.
