This is a great Scope with very clear glass. The shipping from optics planet was fast and accurate. I would recommend this scope for anyone looking for a mid priced hunting scope.This is my first Leupold scope and meet and exceeded my expectations for a reasonable priced scope.

Toss up between this Leupold and Trijicon scope I was looking at. Close to the same quality of glass but went w Leupold because of rebate and recticle options. Also, the tirijon was quite more bulky and I am using this scope for hunting. I have Trijicon that I love mounted on my at and happy with that scope.

Actually my review is more about Optics Planet than my new VX3 Leupold scope. My scope was bought for a CZ 527 M1 American rifle (.223) set up for coyote hunting. I live in Florida and wanted the scope for my CZ rifle at a family ranch in Texas. I knew I wanted a leupold VX3 scope, just not sure which one and which reticle. Once I decided, I had to decide to send the scope to myself in FL and travel with it to my Texas destination. I thought I had enough time once I ordered the scope to have it delivered to me (with 2-day air') to Florida. I started getting nervous when I hadn't received a order confirmation the next day. Now I am thinking I am not going to receive this scope in time so I better call Otics P and change my ship to. The customer service person was excellent and, since the scope was bought with PayPal , then I couldn't change my ship to. So after 2-3 phone calls my CSR at optics got with her shipping department and got my order shipped next day. The service level to make my order happen was far beyond what I had expected. I will use Optics Planet for my next optics need. On the feedback of my VX3 (and CZ), due to thanksgiving and rain, I haven't had the chance to sight in my new coyote package.

First off, I only use Top tier Glass, with that being said. This is a great scope for hunting. Not the best, but it does not carry the price. The glass is good, the eye relief is good and the tracking up to 400 yds. is good. This is a great scope for the money. The glass is not top tier, but as good as scopes costing much more.

I was hesitant spending the dollars that Leopold's reputation and quality demand, but after doing so, I am incredibly happy with my purchase. I sighted the scope in on my AR15 DPMS varmint rifle the other day and it came in fast and easy. I can't believe how much better my vision is with this scope! Super happy.

Already had a vx-3 on a different gun and wanted to have a higher magnification to put on different gun. Scope is wonderful as all of my leupold scopes have been. Best price I found and with the 100 dollar gift card to use for mounts and a few other things I couldn't go wrong.

Great Scope with amazing optics. Looks great on my Browning X-Bolt 300 Win Mag with Stainless barrel & synthetic stock. After looking thru this scope while sighting in my rifle for 16 rounds, then trying to shot my old rifle/ scope- it was very difficult!

Super clear, best eye relief of all scopes, the adjustment clicks are right on 1/4 inch, super warranty, make sure you get the reticle that's right for your gun, it costs a little more but is really worth it, You get what you pay for. In my book this is not a cheep scope. My filosofy, spend as much on the scope as the rifle. I've had all the brands. Leupold is the best hands down. P.S get the Leupold alumina flip up scope caps, and rings/mounts, you won't be disappointed.

Very clear quality long range scope. And it does repeat zero when removed with leupold
Mark 4 mount on flat top rail. This will go well With my Acog TA11 3.5x35 with larue qd mount
for short range Bush hunting on M@P 10 308 here in northern Michigan, and for long range
The ability to switch to VX3 50mm quickly with out losing zero is a very nice option!
In my opinion without Acog option this is to much scope for all around use.
For ranges in excess of 100 yds its a perfect choice.

I am a big fan of the VX-3 and have several 3.5-10x50 models. I was looking for something with a little more power but not the weight of a VX-6. This does the trick Excellent hunting scope whether low light or middle of the day. I have tried all of the European scopes and found the VX-3 to be superior to all of them for my purposes.
