Most Helpful Positive Review Better than sliced bread
There are a lot of reviews out there on this item. I checked many. Over 90% highly recommend it. However, I was almost "turned off" by several that stated that you could not boresight a red dot - not true- I was able to check and record the zero of a Trijicon RX09-23 on my AR, an EOTeck 512 on my so...

I bought this on a recomendation from my local "sportsman warehouse".They claimed that all thier military buddies use it to check "zero" in the field(I now doubt this statement as being valid).I struggled to get sighted in because of the lack of instructions. I checked "youtube" and could only find ...

Very easy to use with minimal set-up required. While the written instructions are ok - just take a look at one of the you-tube videos available regarding this product and you will be in business in no time. Highly recommended!

Leupold Zero Point Bore Sighter

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from WY, United States Written on November 16, 2012
Very simple to use and will fit any caliber rifle. Most difficult thing is centering device along center of bore so that windage adjustment is accurate. I have it to be very accurate and I am always on the target at 100 yards.
Pros: Easy to attach. No varying caliber studs
Cons: None
Would recommend: Yes

Great Instrument

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from NV, United States Written on April 28, 2011
New to mounting and zeroing a scope, this little instrument allowed me to set the initial sighting in my study. On the range, the first shot was only about 1" low and to the R... zeroed on that one shot as per http://www.leupold.com/mount/ - worked great!
Pros: Easy and quick
Cons: none

Does the job

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on July 28, 2010
First time to use this. It is very easy to get "on the paper" You still have to shoot your gun to sight in but when that is achieved you can note the settings for further use. Only negative is that it is difficult to replicate exactly plumb and square and distance from center of bore to center of sight. But.....it does as it says it will and that is to boresight and get you on target easily. Saves time and money!
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: none
Would recommend: Yes

Treat it kindly and you won't have to buy but one

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on July 21, 2009
I loved this bore sighter. Even bore sighted my red dot with it. You should really observe the warning about removing it from the barrel before you shoot. If you don't you will see they are very fragile. At least mine was. So I ordered another one and determined to treat it with more respect.
Pros: Small and works really well with a little practice
Cons: Will not stay together if you shoot it.
