robk911's Review of Lockdown PUCK Monitoring Devise for SMART Monitoring with remote LOCIG App

The concept is ideal, but execution, reliability, functionality is flawed. Issues encountered during setup were connectivity to Xfinity/Netgear wifi router - incurred 6-10 attempts before successful connection via iPhone 11 Pro. Once connected was able to configure settings - BUT inconsistent wifi connectivity issues encountered (disconnected/reconnected) even though the wifi router (supports 2.4 & 5GHz) is 10 ft away from safe. I forced connection to 2.4GHz and has been more stable, but issues do resurface. The other issue is magnetic door sensor for open/close status - after closing for several hours, Consistent App alerts are generated to mobile device indicating door OPEN when in fact safe door is locked and closed. This cannot be due to possible safe (700+ lbs! empty) shifting or movement or accidental door activity - only correction option is to reset by opening and re-closing safe door!? I’ve contacted Lockdown via website twice (5/11, 6/3) for troubleshooting guidance - NO response just an auto-generated Case #. I would NOT recommend Puck unit until these issues are resolved - possibly in future versions, but not hopeful due to lack of customer service. To be fair, the other features of temp, humidity, arm/disarm, audible alerts and power status (usb connected) seems to be operational, but again if door open/close status is defective the device purpose is moot.
