Most Helpful Positive Review Lone wolf threaded barrel for g30
Barrel is beautiful and sleek, it adds that extra swag to the gun and can now use surpressors it really gives it that tactical look. Very light weight which makes the gun nicer to carry around. I recommend any of the lone wolf products and anything from optics planet!
Most Helpful Negative Review Nothing but failure to feeds and failure to eject.
I only ended up putting about 10 rounds through this barrel because every single bullet was either a full failure to eject (no blowback), a half eject/half feed, or it would eject and then not feed into the barrel. Every single shot out of 10 did this (quality ammo as well). I used the stormlake 10m...

Needed threaded barrel.

by Reddot, from TN, United States Written on December 2, 2022
I bought this barrel because I plan to get a .45 can soon. This gun will be well suited with a can, and buying the Alpha Wolf barrel was the easiest way to go. No smithing, just put it the pistol and go. This is my third Alpha Wolf barrel and I really like them. Always good fit, finish and function.I also like the button rifling because you can shoot any ammo you can find. I haven't had time to break in the new barrel, but I'm sure it will be accurate when I do.
Pros:
  • Drop In Installation
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Running a .45 can

This barrel is a Gen 4

by Jordan, from PA, United States Written on November 7, 2022
I bought this barrel not doing my usual research and I now know that this is for a gen 4 glock 30 not a gen 3 my brother has a gen 4 and this barrel works great suppressed and unsuppressed the locking lug on this has an extra shelf so the guide rod will petrude from the frame about an inch on gen 3s causing miss feeds so do noy try to interchange the barrels between gens and for anyone wondering if this will fit the sf model the standard glock 30 and the glock 30 sf slides are identical the frames are different so you can interchange the slides on the frames but if you own a 30S this WILL NOT FIT I've been seeing that in a bunch of forums people have asked that question and debated it if you think I'm wrong go on the glock website and compare the width of both slides and you'll find an answer if you want a threaded barrel for a gen 3 the kkm seems to have a similar lug to the stock gen 3 but I haven't bought or tested it the only other option is to get this and have a gunsmith modify the lugs to match the gen 3s
Pros:
  • Accurate
  • Feeds well
  • Gen 4
Cons:
  • If you don't do any research you'll just end up like the other comments
Best Used for:
  • Suppressors or Compensators

Barrel is defective and Lone Wolf know it is.

by Blackhorse, from LA, United States Written on September 21, 2022
I purchased it even after reading the negative feedback. It was a mistake. Everything the two negative feedback said is 100% correct. The first thing I did when I received the barrel is to do a fit check. It does not fit correctly. The barrel sits in the slide, but when you put the recoil spring/guide rod on, the front of the spring sticks out further than it's supposed to. When you put the slide back on the frame, the slide does not go fully into battery, and when you pull the trigger, the slide moves forward slightly. So I contacted both OpticsPlanet and Lone Wolf and provided pictures of the issues. Here is the direct quote I got back from Lone Wolf.

"I showed your pictures to our armorer and talked to him about your barrel. He said that we have a new design on that barrel coming out soon. Apparently there is an issue with some of the lugs on our older G30 barrels that is causing the guide rod to not fit correctly. He recommends that you request a return with Optics Planet on the barrel."

I shared the comments with Optics Planet customer service and they had me do a return request, which I did and have already returned the barrel, unfired. I am hoping that when Lone Wolf does start producing their new threaded barrel, Optics Planet gets them in their inventory so I can pick one up.

Optics Planet has been very professional through the whole process. I've also purchased the Lone Wolf G21 Threaded barrel from them and it's better than the Glock barrel hands do...

Definitely a pile

by Joe Biden, from FL, United States Written on May 26, 2022
Curious how someone posted in June 2019 about failure to eject and here we are 3 years later and still making the same pile of (y’all won’t let me type it). If you hold the barrels next to each other, there is obvious differences like where the spring sits in the groove on the barrel it’s pushed forward on the threaded one and when it’s cocked the slide doesn’t move forward all the way unless the trigger is pulled and then it doesn’t eject unless you drop the mag out and then manually eject it.. every.. single… time..

Alpha Wolf G30 Threaded Barrel

by Burnt, from VA, United States Written on February 9, 2022
Nice barrel quality, rifling looks good, only problem is that my OEM RSA will not sit flush in my gun with this barrel. Everything still functions as normal but there is a slight rattle to my slide when it is UNLOADED. Loaded, its normal but you can see the RSA protruding from the frontof the slide. Otherwise looks fine, havent shot it yet. Will see

Is Suppressor barrel being designed for 30s?

by Joe, from OH, United States Written on April 1, 2021
I would love to have the ability to suppress my 30s. Are there any plans to develop or manufacture one for us few that own this wonderful gun? Looks like it's a fantastic design, just want it for mine! Lol but seriously inquiring. Thx in advance 2

Lone wolf glock 30

by Two panther, from IN, United States Written on February 24, 2021
It fits and looks great. When I shot it, it worked better than I expected. I added a compensator with it so it handled the kick a lot better. I will definitely be purchasing another one for other models I have.
Best Used for:
  • Use with compensator or can

Glock 30SF NO! NO! NO!

by David Oneslager, Verified Owner from OR, United States Written on February 7, 2021
They stated that their expert answer was that yes it would fit a Glock 30 SF but I bought it brought it home and did everything I could and you cannot get this into a Glock 30 SF no matter what their expert or whatever anybody says I had to send it back and now it’s taking months and months for me to even get my money back
