Nice 2x magnifier for my Lucid optic. Only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because it does narrow the width of field, but that is to be expected with a magnifier. Completes the Lucid set-up on my AR 15. Good price at Optics Planet and very quick shipping. Will buy this again when I buy another Lucid HD7 - which is awesome for it's price point.
Pros:
- Inexpensive
- Works like it should.
- Easy to take on and off
- An improvement to the already great Lucid HD7
Cons:
- Narrows the field of vision
Best Used for:
- AR 15
- ak 47 with side mount scope rail

If you would like to get a little more accuracy at about 60 yards out the magnifier works pretty nice it is very easy on and off so change it out is no big deal.I would say for the price its nice to have, over all it was a good purchase.

Loved the HD7...screwed this thing into the back of it and..well..it screwed the view! I wear glasses for severe near-sightedness, and when this is screwed into the optic it's as if I'm not wearing my glasses..complete blur...no good. HOWEVER....IF I take my glasses off (as might happen in a SHTF situation), I can actually see pretty clear thru the optics! So be aware that if you have a heavy prescription in your glasses, like it's been stated, it seems to clear up astigmatisms (sp.) and might make your optic usable if you ever loose your glasses. If that happens, doesn't matter optics or iron if you can't see s**t.

Ordered the product, tested it at the range, I honestly can't tell any difference between the Lucid with out this device on it as to with it on the optic. All it does is add length to the Optic, it reduced the FOV dramatically & made it impossible for to Co-witness the sights. Took it off and tossed it in the parts bin. If you want one I'll give you mine!
Cons:
- doesn't work
- destroyed my FOV
- No discernible Magnification
Best Used for:
- A fishing weight
- to see how far it can be thrown

This magnifier is great for targets, 50 to 150 yards. A great alternative (30 bucks) compared to some of the others that are out there. I would have given it 5 stars, the reason for 4 is that you have to screw it on and off

This 2x is easy to screw in and steady given it is not a stand-alone magnifier. It does shrink your field of view but it wasn't a problem for me. Very, very clear glass for the cost. Did not distort the red dot. Very satisfied!
Pros:
- clear glass
- Low cost
- easy to screw in

Great product, can still keep both eyes open. The clarity is good, attaches directly to my HD7. Still provides unlimited eye relief. You do lose some field of view but that is to be expected. It is much lighter than mounted magnifiers.
Pros:
- Easy to install
- Inexpensive
- High quality material

Basics; HD7 & 2x magnifier mounted on a Beretta CX4 storm/9mm, senior, astigmatism + other sight issues. Wanted a 200 to 300 ft. fun gun/ammo costs that had some punch. The HD7 clears the rear sight wings by a fraction. The 2x allows minor corrections for visual for both eyes open or one eye concentrated fire + decent 2x distance reduction. Rig sits above stock sites, no co-witness. Lots of research done but, as always, you don't know what your getting until items mounted and used. Both items fulfill my needs and allow me to be on target at 300 ft.. No issues with form, function or finish. Only minor negatives are overall added weight and limited field of view using one eye, neither of which are critical for my application. Others may find this setup inappropriate for a competition or battle rifle but for a fun 9mm carbine out to a respectable distance they work. Hope this helps.
