Nick's Review of LUCID Optics M7 Micro Dot Sight - 2 MOA Dot, 25 MOA Circle L-M7
Just purchased the M7 (Feb. 2015). I have not fired my rifle with it yet, but I've already notice some issues just playing around with it at the house. Until I actually shoot with it, I'm really reserving judgment. But, the brightness settings (up and down arrow buttons) have no effect on the reticle. The larger moa dot was so bright that I couldn't see the smaller red dot when placing it on a target. After a while, I figured out that if I pushed the on/off button, it would switch the reticle to a dimmer setting. Pushing it again would return it to bright. So, there only appear to be two settings and the up/down controls do nothing. The second real issue is that there is definitely parallax in the upper third of the glass. I don't expect an aimpoint for the price, but something isn't right with the circuitry and don't say "parallax free" if it clearly isn't. It's a shame really, because I'm fond of the M7 in all other respects and love the idea of a screw in magnifier.
