Lucid hits a home run with micro dot
This is an incredible bargain for a quality micro dot. I call it a "poor man's Aimpoint micro." It's that good. No, it will probably not survive the Daniel Defense torture test (google that if you don't know) but for 99% of us, it has everything. Very rugged. Excellent circle dot reticle. I lo...

Decent Sight, has some issues
I cannot recommend this sight after having it on my AK-47 for several hundred rounds. I have some problems with the sight such as the Auto-brightness working when it wants, often leaving me unable to see my reticle for a shot before the recoil impulse causes it to jump to the highest setting then se...

Lucid M7 Red Dot
Outstanding red dot sight. I like this optic so much I bought a second one. The reticle is great, highly visible, quick, focused target acquisition. The description didn’t mention that it comes with three different height mounts. Only downside is the mounting bolts are not picatinny size diameter. I would have given it five stars except for the Weaver diameter mounting bolts.
Pros:
- Price
- reticle
- Comes with three different height mounts
- mounts use two bolts
Cons:
- None

Lucid M7 red dot
I love this little red dot! It looked sweet out of the box... Fit great and is extremely easy to sight in/use. I put this on a 10/22 breakdown and it fits perfectly. Exactly what I was looking for. My only complaint would be the instruction manual is only a sheet of paper with the same thing on the back of the box. Optics planet got it to me in two days! Couldn't ask for any better service or quality for what I paid! I'll definitely be a return customer based on this purchase alone!
Pros:
- 100% Waterproof and Fog Proof
Cons:
- None

Has some issues
Just purchased the M7 (Feb. 2015). I have not fired my rifle with it yet, but I've already notice some issues just playing around with it at the house. Until I actually shoot with it, I'm really reserving judgment. But, the brightness settings (up and down arrow buttons) have no effect on the reticle. The larger moa dot was so bright that I couldn't see the smaller red dot when placing it on a target. After a while, I figured out that if I pushed the on/off button, it would switch the reticle to a dimmer setting. Pushing it again would return it to bright. So, there only appear to be two settings and the up/down controls do nothing. The second real issue is that there is definitely parallax in the upper third of the glass. I don't expect an aimpoint for the price, but something isn't right with the circuitry and don't say "parallax free" if it clearly isn't. It's a shame really, because I'm fond of the M7 in all other respects and love the idea of a screw in magnifier.

Lucid M7 red dot sight
This is my second red dot sight from Lucid. I have also purchased an HD7 sight. This sight make not take the punishment the HD7 sight would since it is armored with a rubber coating but this site is much lighter. They both seem to do everything as advertised.
Pros:
- uses AAA bateries
- very small and light
Cons:
- may not be as robust at the HD7
- needs a 1" riser for an AR platform
Would recommend: Yes
