I got this for a work watch, a small profile that I wouldn't hit on things constantly. Is really nice other than the glass is not scratch resistant or resistant to welding Burns. Holds Good Time, and fairly durable. Would be a 5 star if it didn't have scratches and burn holes in the face.

I guess my 12 year old Luminox watch was made with a higher power of tritium than any of the current production, so I can take off any points for the lower level of luminescence with the Leatherback and it's T25 tritium rating. It may not be all that important in the long run. As long as you can see the vials, I guess that is bright enough. My older watch was so bright that you could literally read a book if held close to the page in total darkness. In some ways, that is too bright for stealth, bothering your wife, etc. I still would prefer a T100 tritium watch but Ball may be the only one making those now.
This is still a compromise with respect to not having a screw in crown in terms of water resistance, but since my deep diving days are behind me, not a biggie.

I have a 12 year old Luminox stainless steel watch back to Luminox for a new movement so bought this to wear in the meantime. Pros: price (less than $200 on sale), very light weight (barely know it's there), typical Luminox accuracy. Cons: tritium brightness similar to my 12 year old expensive Luminox, no tritium on second hand, tritium only on 2,4,6,8,10 & 12 (note, not much of a handicap really), no screw in crown. Recommend as a good timepiece.

Case diameter was about right but the strap is a bit short? With all the watches at 45mm they bridge my wrist, almost made for a child. Other than that holds great time and dial has great markers. Will be shopping for a larger wrist band!
