Most Helpful Positive Review Almost perfect
Great setup for the price, barrel seems solid and fsb is setup p nicely. My only small gripe is that the FSB doesn't have a front sight post so you will have to source one.

3 gas tubes later. Gas tube hole in fsb is not deep enough for the roll pin hole to line up. Been nothing but problems time and money wasted

Fit tight in the upper, crown marks looked clean. I don't know if I would call this a lightweight barrel, but it is not heavy.

Review of Luth-AR 5.56mm 11.5in Lightweight Barrel w/FSB

I bought this barrel to build a XM177E2 repro.
I added a couple parts to finish it, then put it on my repro M16a1 upper receiver.
Now I have a SWEET Looking M16 - XM177E2 Clone.
Pros:
  • Proper looks, nicley finished

  • Building a repo XM177E2

Gas Tube Hole in is FSB Too Small

I. don't know how this is to be, but the gas tube hole in the FSB is too small. After I had the barrel assy on and barrel nut timed, the gas tube wouldn't slide in. I had to remove the FSB and tried three different gas tubes....none fit. The remedy was to turn the gas tube down a few thousands with sandpaper to get it to fit enough to line up the pin hole. Barrel shot decently with SS109, but the barrel isn't quite lightweight or Gov't profile. Not sure what Luth-AR was thinking when they make this barrel. Finish was decent and even.

Luth-AR 11.5 inch barrel not as described

If you think this is a pencil barrel it is not. Even though the description says it’s light weight it is not a thin barrel. The barrel does not come with a front sight post or a sling swivel which is not mentioned in the description.
