nice set of punches
This set is perfect for any rifle or handgun. Stop using the wrong item for gunsmithing and use these instead. I would buy again. There is one brass punch and 4 steel punches that are the common sizes for most firearms.

I bought this punch set to install a front dovetail sight on an Smith and Wesson M&P shield pistol. I bought it mainly for the brass punch in the kit, to drift the new front sight in with out marring it too badly. The punch did work well, but was pretty soft, and I did mushroom the sight a little. I think this was due to the fact that the dovetail styled sight still needed a little filing. So the punch did do its job all things considered. I would use this punch again for the same application, but I would take more time to carefully file the new sight so that it would go in easier without having to use as much force with the punch.
