Leather verses fabric
All maintenance involved, men or women in construction or security, rely on durability, and complete protection for the tools of their trade that they depend will be there when they reach for them. Leather is the product of choice, not manmade material, it may be cheaper but it does not look and perform as well; I am willing to pay extra for craftsmanship and quality.
Pros: Constructed very durable but, fully protect the MagLite in leather as the knife, would have offered complete protection.
Cons: Should, protect the MagLite in the same manner as the knife, with full leather security.

I already have this holster in which I carry a Maglite and a Buck 110 knife, and have worn it for many years (10+) now. It is starting to wear out so I purchased this one as a replacement. I expect the replacement to last as long as the first one I bought.
