Most Helpful Positive Review MagLite Continues to Excel
I don't know why I continue to buy other flashlights. I keep coming back to Maglite because of the price, but I am always pleasantly surprised. Unlike many tactical flashlights by competitors, this model uses 3 AAA batteries and is just as bright if not brighter. The battery life for this flashlight is superior and has some fantastic features. My wife bought me the XL50, so I bought 2 of these XL200's and they are fantastic! Pros: lots of features...easy to use and VERY bright Cons: doesn't seem incredibly rugged but time will tell

Was a Maglite fan

by Johnny, from NY, United States Written on January 10, 2017
A contractor had one of these on the job when he came to do PM work for me. I liked the function and having three Maglite 3D cell flashlights myself and loving them I bought these. One by one the three of them stopped working. I contacted Maglite who refused to look at them for service or warrantee. They told me the flashlights got wet and voided any work for repair to replacement. The flashlights never came in contact with water. I have since moved on to Streamlight flashlights and never looked back. For around the same price as the Maglite's I purchased quality mini led flashlights that fit great in my front pocket and are really bright. I purchased three PT2L and Three PTHL both led and awesome.
Pros:
  • bright
  • size and design
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Home
  • Work
  • Pistol Light

Maglite 3-Cell AAA LED

by Don, from FL, United States Written on March 28, 2015
Expensive, but worth it for a quality product. I bought mine for a new car but I did not want it rolling around in the glove compartment so I slit the blister pack so the light could easily be removed, but also was secure, the put the light, pack and all in the compartment.I do not expect to use the flashing modes, but you can never tell.
Pros:
  • solid, bright, quality designed and built
Cons:
  • None

Definitely Does The Job

I bought it for my Mossberg 500, short-barreled Home Defense 12 ga. pump. In an in home encounter if set in constant full bright mode, this puppy will definitely blind an intruder's open naked eyes at a typical 8-10 ft., which gives you a great advantage. I mounted mine on the magazine tube slightly forward of the forend (pump) with a Streamlight Mag Tube Male Picatinny to a female MFT Flashlight Surefire 1 inch Diameter Mount and had it operational in no time at all. It sits just below and under the pump. This mount location permits readily access to control the light with my pump hand and doesn't interfere with control of the pump. I frequent local area Gun Shows and haven't seen anything comparable at this price. Thanks OP!
Pros: High lumens, strobe, affordable, bright to dim to bright
Cons: Had to wait for backorder
