Scrap aluminum
I bought a MAG-LITE ML300LX about three years on Amazon. After I had it for about two years it would only work on the HIGH setting. I tried to use it today and it wouldn't work at all on any brightness setting. New batteries didn't help either. I would think that a $50.00+ flashlight wouldn't fail like this one did.
Pros:
- Very bright when it worked
Cons:
- Doesn't work at all now
Best Used for:
- Aluminum recycling

Maglite LED flashlight
Maglite flashlights have always been a leader in quality and durability. After trying about a dozen different brands of flashlights I ordered another Maglite for our camping use . Adjustable beam for indoor or outdoor use is very useful. The size also assists in finding the flashlight in the dark when needed.

Beats smaller flashlights hands down!
I researched many smaller, lighter flashlights. They looked cool and bragged about their power and light weight. But none of them could hold a candle (pun intended) to this American made flashlight. The flashlight itself is very light. Most of the weight comes from the batteries. But the power of this flashlight is phenomenal and justifies the weight of the batteries. And talking about power, I don't mean just lumens. Many manufacturers like to brag about the lumens their lights put out, but the distance illuminated is much more important and this Maglite really reaches out there. The large D cell batteries also last forever in this light. It's also less expensive than those new scientific marvels and makes a great home defense tool. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
Pros:
- cost
- illumination distance
- power
- Battery endurance
Cons:
- Size- but not bad
- Weight- Again not bad
Best Used for:
- hunting
- defense
